CVCC is where I used to come from Morganton to the dental clinic for a low cost teeth cleaning.

That's a two piece maple neck. Separate maple fingerboard, with no "skunk" stripe on back. They were known as a "white neck" when Fender first made them in the sixties. Hello to you in NC. Morganton was formerly my home.

MoviePro clips do not show up on a Windows 10 PC. Every other clip recorded on ProTake, DJI Mimo and the iPhone Camera app show up no problem.

I’m a woman with a 5mm stone it’s been a little over 3 weeks and I still haven’t passed the stone. Only had off and on terrible pain in the first week. Since the pain has decreased from my kidney I think it’s probably in my bladder now. I get aches from my urethra every now and then but otherwise pain is manageable. Can’t wait for the stone to finally leave my body.

I’ve never been a good player or had particularly good guitars - but I’m “ok” 🙂 One thing in recent years is that I’m a lot more chilled about gear and happy with used and/or budget gear - which means I can change as I fancy it. I just had a Mex Strat for a lot of years - now I’m liking trying other stuff - but just for fun.

I took an orbital sander to the back of mine. Which is fine flat against the back of the neck, up and down.....just don't try to contour with it too far around the sides, because you'll shave the curve right off. On mine, when turned sideways, you could see where the back got visibly fatter around between the 2nd and 15th frets (or so), so I just mainly took the bulge off the back so the middle matches the ends. I marked the 2 acceptable ends with masking tape, to make sure I didn't go too far. Plus it's a gift for a friend who's learning so hopefully it'll make it easier. Also, make sure to adjust the truss rod tighter so the neck is dead straight (maybe a half turn, mine came out of the box pretty slack). At least until you start to feel a little tension and it's not just spinning loose in there. That way you're not looking at a bowed neck bulge, thinking you need to shave off more than actually necessary. It's easy to finish the rest with your hand, as you can feel the neck as you're shaping it, and get it just the way you want it to feel. I'm going to give it a light dusting of minwax satin spray poly, so it doesn't get grungy on my friend. I've used it on headstock decals (as well as gloss) and it's great.

Not thrilled with the extension hose as it wants to pull the vacuum along with it. It might be because it's new. Hopefully it relaxes a little as we use it.

Your videos are what has gotten us interested in the Hickory/Mountain View/Morganton/Valdese/Marion/areas. We are going to retire in a year and a half and will be leaving Austin Texas after living here for thirty years. We visited Chattanooga, Knoxville and North Georgia a few years ago and then visited the Greenville/Upstate SC area a few months ago. Greenville and the Upstate are very nice but real estate is getting expensive quickly and it is going to be a larger Metro Area than what we think we want for retirement. Greenville sort of reminds me of what was happening in Austin when we got here. The Austin Metro is now 2.42 million people and the cost of living is as much or more than Houston and lots of other places. We will be coming to visit sometime soon and your videos have given us a leg up on where to look and what to do while we are there. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

I'm interested in one of these vt amps. Unfortunately there is almost no info on what the difference is with the vt and the cambridge. I have a micro terror and micro dark heads so i am already a total believer in 1 tube in the preamp.
